Our Journey
From Projection Innovation to Home Entertainment Wonder
2020
2020, AWOL was founded in Miami with a bold vision: bringing cinematic experiences into everyday homes.
2022
AWOL launched its first 4K RGB triple-laser UST projector, the LTV series, raising $1+ million on Indiegogo. That same year, AWOL opened its first U.S. retail stores and unveiled the world's first 120-inch Vanish Laser TV — redefining home entertainment.
2023
Developed the proprietary EBL (Enhanced Black Level) technology to deliver deeper blacks and clearer shadow detail, while becoming the No.1 UST RGB Laser Projector in the U.S.—earning market recognition through meaningful innovation.
2024
AWOL Debuted its first long-throw projector under Valerion, raising over $10 million and becoming Kickstarter’s Most-Funded Campaign of 2024. Emmy-winning filmmaker Marcus Mizelle praised its “stunning deep blacks in each frame” .
2025
AWOL debuted its long-throw innovation at IFA with industry-first Anti-RBE technology and entered the MoMA Design Store—marking a shift from product breakthrough to broader cultural and design recognition.
2026
Partnered with NFL Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins as the global ambassador and launched Aetherion, a next-generation UST that became the fastest Kickstarter hardware project to reach $10 million—in just 12 hours.
Ongoing
Unified its Ultra-Short-Throw and Long-Throw projector lines, refreshed its brand identity with a new visual system, and expanded AWOL beyond projection into a premium home entertainment experience brand—Bringing Wonder Home.
