How do I place an order to enjoy the VIP Offer since I made a $50 deposit before?
To redeem your deposit benefit, simply place your order on Kickstarter by selecting an eligible Aetherion projector reward (either the standalone unit or a bundle) through the standard checkout process; after the campaign ends, we’ll verify our pre-order/backer list and process the deposit-related refund accordingly.
Important Requirement: We will verify eligibility by matching the email address of your Kickstarter account with the email used for your $50 deposit. To ensure a seamless refund, you must use the same email address for your Kickstarter purchase as you did for the deposit.

Please note: We recommend not using Apple Pay. Apple Pay may use a private email (Hide My Email), which can prevent us from obtaining your actual email address. This may affect order confirmation, shipping updates, and other important notifications, and may limit our ability to contact you when needed.
How to buy add-ons?
After selecting your primary reward, you can choose your desired add-ons and quantities on the following checkout page. Please note that add-ons will be shipped separately from your Aetherion unit due to their larger dimensions and specialized packaging requirements.
We also offer curated bundles for your convenience. You may choose to purchase a bundle directly if it fits your needs. Similar to individual add-ons, the Aetherion Max and the included accessories within the bundle will be shipped in separate packages.
How can I change my pledge amount or reward selection?
While the project is live, you can change your pledge amount or switch reward tiers via the project page. You can also add add-ons or bonus support. Changes set a new total amount and can only be made before the project ends.

Can I pledge to project more than once?
On Kickstarter, each pledge can only select one reward tier. If you’d like to order multiple projectors, you can add extra units in Add-ons (choose Aetherion Pro / Aetherion Max and set the quantity you need).

What forms of payment can I use to make a pledge?
To pledge to our project you can use a debit or credit card associated with Visa, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, UnionPay, or American Express. At this time, Discover, UnionPay, and JCB cards are only accepted for US-based projects. We do not currently accept Maestro or Visa Electron cards.
If you are going to use a prepaid credit card, please make sure that the card has a value of at least 1 USD (or the similar equivalent in your local currency, e.g. 1 GBP) more than the amount of your pledge. This will help to reduce the chance of any issues collecting your pledge.
It is not possible to split a pledge across multiple transactions. If your card has a daily limit, we’d recommend contacting the card issuer to determine whether it’s possible to get approval for a particular transaction. Alternatively, you could try using a different card, such as a prepaid card.

Can I pledge with PayPal?
We do not currently support PayPal as a payment or account set up method. To pledge towards a project on Kickstarter, you will need to use a valid debit or credit card.

What currency will I be charged in, and how are exchange rates and any extra fees handled?
For the Aetherion campaign, pledges are collected in USD. When your payment is processed, if your card/account is not in USD, the final amount will be converted using your card issuer/bank’s real-time exchange rate and transaction rules—any exchange rate differences, foreign transaction fees, or conversion-related charges are determined by your bank/card provider. For details, please check with your issuing bank.
When is my card charged?
Your card will be charged after the project ends.
How do I provide my shipping address and reward details?
According to Kickstarter’s rules, backers' addresses will only be collected through a survey after the end of the project. We will send you a survey to collect the necessary information required to fulfill your rewards. Once you complete the survey, you'll receive an email confirmation that includes a copy of your responses.

Can I cancel a pledge?
According to Kickstarter's policies, you can request a refund at any time before the project ends.Once the project ends, we will lock orders in preparation for shipment, and refunds will no longer be available during this phase. What is the warranty period for the Aetherion unit?
Aetherion Pro and Aetherion Max projector units are covered by a 1-year limited warranty, plus an additional 1-year free extended warranty, providing a total of 2 years of coverage for manufacturing or shipping-related issues. Damage resulting from misuse (including, but not limited to, drops, extreme temperatures, water exposure, or improper operation) and repairs conducted by third parties are not covered.
We stand behind our products and services with confidence and are happy to provide ongoing technical guidance. Our after-sales service includes, but is not limited to, professional mail-in exchanges, technical guidance, and any other available solutions that can assist you.
What is the expected shipping time?
The Aetherion project is entering mass production, with shipping expected to begin in batches from April 2026. For all add-ons: they will be arranged under the same shipping schedule as the projector, but because some add-ons (especially large items like screens/cabinets) are bulkier and require more complex logistics handling, the delivery time may be slightly later than the projector. Updates will be provided continuously throughout the shipping process.
What is the shipping policy for Aetherion and all Add-ons?
For Aetherion units, we offer free shipping and cover all customs fees for backers in the United States and Canada. For other regions, a shipping fee of $50, $100, $150, or $200 will apply depending on your location.
For Add-ons and Bundles, shipping fees are consistent worldwide: $50 or $100 for add-ons, and $100 or $200 for bundles, depending on the specific items.

What is the Customs fee policy for Aetherion and all Add-ons？
Customs fees are covered for the following countries and regions: the United States (mainland only), Canada, the European Union (mainland only, excluding islands and overseas territories), the United Kingdom (mainland only, excluding islands and overseas territories), Australia, Japan, China mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Switzerland, and South Korea. Why are VAT and Sales Tax being charged?
For the AWOL Aetherion campaign, we will be using Kickstarter's official and certified partner platforms, and after the campaign ends, we’ll collect your shipping address through the post-campaign survey to calculate and charge the applicable sales tax and VAT based on your address, which are now legally required to collect and remit sales tax and VAT for all campaigns that use them, operating similarly to marketplaces like Amazon or Etsy. While past projects like Valerion used a simplified "flat-price" model before precise calculation tools existed, we are now transitioning to this professional, region-specific system to ensure absolute fairness and transparency. It is because of your incredible support that AWOL Vision is in a position to scale globally, and this new approach ensures you are only charged the exact amount required for your location, based on your final reward and add-on selections. Furthermore, to provide a seamless experience, AWOL Vision will continue to cover customs fees for most regions so you can focus purely on the value of the Aetherion.
How will these taxes be collected?
To ensure total clarity and a hassle-free delivery, your contribution will be handled through a simple two-step split payment. First, Kickstarter will automatically collect the reward payment within 7 days of the campaign’s end. Second, we will collect the precise Sales Tax and VAT via our official address survey only after the initial payment is successfully completed and you provide your shipping details. This specific method ensures total accuracy for your unique location, preventing any unexpected "hidden fees" or courier handling charges at your doorstep when your Aetherion arrives.
