AWOL Vision Launches 150-Inch Daylight-Ready Fresnel ALR Screen

As demand for immersive viewing experiences continues to grow across residential, commercial and professional sectors, AWOL Vision’s new 150-inch Fresnel PET Daylight ALR Screen targets a long-standing challenge in large-format projection: maintaining contrast, brightness, and uniformity at extreme sizes, under real-world lighting conditions. By scaling its tried and tested Fresnel optical structures to 150 inches, AWOL Vision aims to deliver true ‘lights-on’, large-format viewing, without sacrificing brightness and image consistency.

Precision-Driven Optical Performance

Manufacturing the new screen size requires extraordinarily tight control when engineering the microscopic surface structures. At the heart of the design is a precision-engineered Fresnel layer, paired with advanced light-management coatings. This combination selectively reflects light from the projector while aggressively rejecting overhead and side ambient light. The result is a boost to perceived contrast, preserved shadow detail, and improved midtone clarity, even in relatively brightly lit rooms.

The screen itself is built on an optical-grade PET substrate, chosen for its dimensional stability, clarity, and durability. That makes it eminently suitable not only for high-end home cinema installations, but also for commercial and professional environments where long-term flatness, scratch resistance, and environmental tolerance are of paramount importance.

As such, while home theater remains a primary focus, the modular construction of the new screen also supports flexible mounting options for walls or frames. The new 150-inch screen has been developed alongside AWOL Vision’s range of ultra-short-throw projectors, including its newly released flagship, the Aetherion Max, ensuring tight optical alignment, consistent performance, and simplified installation.

Both the 150-inch screen and the Aetherion Max UST projector will make their European debut at ISE 2026: Barcelona Expo (Level 0 – stand 5Q300), running from 3-6 February, 2026.

Global Availability

AWOL Vision’s 150-inch Fresnel PET Daylight ALR Screen will begin shipping in March, priced at €4999.
